The fishing remains consistent for Speckled Trout, Mangrove Snapper, Mackerel, and Pompano. Targeting these on artificial lures have been the ticket most days and when the bite slows we switch to the live pilchards and they can’t resist. I have been finding Cobia around the Sharks in a particular spot while targeting Mangrove Snapper and Goliath Grouper. Lane Snapper opened up January 1 so that is an added species for the dinner table and these fish gang up in certain areas of the back country channels and hard bottom in the gulf. We can also target the Lanes while fishing the patch reefs on the Atlantic side.
On the past few charters I have found Bluefish by the hundreds and we probably caught 75-100 be tween two anglers. These fish are loved by folks in the Northeast and for us here in the Keys they provide non stop action, they fight hard and are literally running in the side of the boat trying to bite our lures.
Call to get in on the action and experience some of the best fishing we see in the Keys all year. Multiple species and action packed days!!!!!
