Today is Monday, May 14th here in the Florida Keys. It’s rainy and it’s time to reflect on the past weeks of solid fishing.
We spent the last couple weeks anchored up on the reefs and patches offshore of the lower Keys in about 60-90 ft. Of water.
The choice of bait has varied every trip along with the catches.
Live bait, squid, pilchards, sardines, threads, cut fish are all on the menu to make for a successful fishing trip.
We harvested yellowtail, black grouper, lane snapper, Mahi, mangrove snapper, hogfish and mutton snapper.
It’s also tarpon season so we managed to jump two and it was a nice show.
We had so many great clients the past few weeks, it really makes fishing fun and memorable.
We have always had a saying, we never meet a stranger, we meet a future friend.
I’m Debi, the first mate and also the captain’s wife. We love to get out fishing and we hope to get you out too!
