Spring Fishing Report

Hello everyone!!! The spring fishing has been spectacular for Sailfish offshore with a few large tuna being caught in the mix. The reef bite has been good as well when the water has a little color to it, yellowtail snapper, all species of mackerel and mutton snapper have been the targets. Fishing a live pilchard on the bottom for the mutton snapper while having a rod with a trace of wire and a live pilchard on the surface or mid depth for the mackerel species. We are still on the standard free line technique for the yellowtail snapper with a small piece of bait on light line 10-15lb test.

May 1 is the opening of grouper season and I am anticipating a solid start to grouper season. We will also be starting to run offshore for for Mahi so please get on the books so you do not miss out on the action!!!
